I personally am terrible at video games. They can be challenging for anyone, but it takes me several attempts to complete even the simplest levels. Therefore, this exercise, finding three challenging games, is very easy. Even if they do not seem challenging, every game has a level of challenge.

The first game that I find challenging is Color Switch. This has become a wildly popular gaming app recently. It consists of moving objects in the colors pink, blue, purple, and yellow. The player controls an object in one of those four colors. It can travel through objects of the same color, but the game ends if the character touches an object of a different color. Throughout the game, the player object's color switches, adding an additional challenge. I find this game challenging because of the speed of the obstacles. It takes precise timing to pass through the obstacle without touching any other colors. However, if this game was easy it would not be fun. Therefore, the challenge is crucial.

Another challenging game is Trivia Crack. This game consists of two players in a trivia challenge. During each turn, a player answers questions in a variety of categories. If three consecutive questions are answered correctly, the player has the opportunity to answer another question to earn a character. The first player to collect all of the characters wins. I find this game challenging because the questions test a lot of random knowledge, and there is no way to know whether I will know an answer in a specific category. It is also challenging that the opponent is earning characters at the same time, because it is intimidating to see your opponent taking the lead.

The final challenging game is Wii Sports. This may sound like a very easy game, but I find it extremely challenging. The most challenging sport, in my opinion, is golf. The player must use their remote to swing a virtual golf club at a virtual ball at a specific speed. This game is challenging because if the speed is too high or too low, the ball will not go into the hole.

While a challenging game may be frustrating, without the challenge, it would not be a game at all. The challenge is a major part of what makes a game fun, and without it, no one would want to play.

Every age has its storytelling form, and video gaming is a huge part of our culture. You can ignore or embrace video games and imbue them with the best artistic quality. People are enthralled with video games in the same way as other people love the cinema or theatre.
