A game that has a storyline that is consistent with gameplay is Super Mario Bros. At the beginning of the game, the player discovers that the princess has been captured by a variety of monsters. The monsters guard various castles, and the player needs to conquer each castle to eventually save the princess.

This game is successful primarily because of the story. The player becomes emotionally attached to Mario and Luigi, and truly desires to save the princess. Without the story, the game would be completely pointless. Climbing over obstacles and collecting coins with no purpose is no fun, and no one would play a game like that.

The plot of this game unfolds as the game progresses. This is because the various villains and monsters have different powers. There are many unexpected twists along the way that must be discovered by the player through hard work. At the end, the player is finally able to save the princess.

The story of this game is one of the most important parts of the gameplay. Without it the game would be nothing.
